Vintage Vogue

Off we went on Sunday to Essex Vintage Fashion Fair, Vintage Vogue.  It was a lovely sunny day and the mood was good, we had a good day, met lots of nice people especially the people from Retro Photostudio go check out their work!  Such cool work! And Nice people!

Here's some Pics of the day!

There were lots and lots of pretty dresses and quite a few Enid Colin's Bags, but I was good and resisted!

These vintage pearl necklaces are gorgeous, made from Glass Pearls in the most amazing subtle colours, all newly strung with vintage clasps!  Very Pretty and they can be made to order, in any length!  I have a grey one, will take a pic soon to show!

Here was my stall for the day...

I almost sold all of my Tattoo Heart Brooches and only have 2 left!  They were the definite favourite of the fair!  Will be making up some new ones this week, in new colours and some different words.

Beautiful Crochet

Since my Thrifty Find the other day I have been a little bit obsessed with crochet, even got out a few of my books to have a play and try new things.  My Crochet is only as good as general Granny Squares, and standard chain, double or triple crochet straight lines, I dream of being able to make anything half as beautiful as these gorgeous finds!  Very Talented people out there!

Pretty Flowers, So simple and I must admit I have had a go at these, but mine are no where near as pretty!

and cute cactus plants, I have zero success with indoor plants, and we have even had real cactus' but even they dies on me!  Maybe these pretties are the answer to my non Green Fingers

Cant go wrong with cupcakes, and crochet cupcakes at that!  These even have a purpose of Pot Holder Trivets so you don't ruin worktops, tables or pretty vintage tablecloths!

These ones are cute too, but not as practical, but still who could resist

and star Granny's!  what a great idea, not sure what Id do with them though? cute bunting perhaps?

Oohh cute Toys!!

And this gorgeous Granny Square blanket!  This reminds my to get mine out that my nanny made for me!  Would make a great spring edition to our living room, which could do with some brightening up!

Chest Piece Edition

I adore chest piece tattoos, threre's something undeniably cool and super edgy about them and so many different ones here's some favourites of mine...

This pretty traditional style one

I Love and Hate this one, I love it because its a completely custom piece and can appreciate the workmanship, design and time gone into it, as art it is beautiful.  But... its insects and that is not a favourite of mine! especially big scary close ups!

This pretty delicate one

This one is cool too, hearts, birds lots of black work! Ticks all the boxes

and I couldn't complete a Tattoo Love Chest Edition this one! from Dainty Squid 

Sewing, Craft and Tattoos are my fave!

Thrift Thursday

I went out thrifting yesterday to some new places I haven't been before, what a great find! 

Found some great goodies, so thought I would share with you!

This amazing Vintage Disney Book will definitely be made into some Pocket Mirrors and Badges in the near future although I hate cutting up vintage books!

This Cute and Cool Owl Tapestry is going up in the girls bedroom

I found these three dresses, all different sizes, the pink stripy one is my fave, and will fit sooner than the others as I'm losing weight, we will see if I ever get into the brown one in the middle he he

These Pretty Linens all hand embroidered and super pretty!  Will be making these into some little zippy pouches probably.  Annoyingly these pretties are too thick to be made into pocket mirrors, but I have a plan and might try scanning them in and making prints to make into mirrors!

Cute Smiley Things

I have a real love for all things inanimate with a face, there just something that brings a smile to my face and makes the day seem a little better, when cute things have faces!  I'm really rather partial to food with faces, so thought I'd share some smiley cute love...

Of course, no post about smiley food and cute things can be complete without mentioning the amazing Heidi Kenney!  Her donuts have always been a fave, but the new plush versions from Kid Robot are my fave, I am yet to own any of these beauty's...

New Goodies

Here's a little selection of what I have been working on... Pocket Mirrors and Little Badges.

Using a variety of vintage and new fabric, vintage picture book images, and some alternative and kawaii.

I love the originality of the picture book ones, everyone is different and one of a kind, so when they go in the shop (after the weekend)  there's only one of each!

 These are some other designs, the two on the left, using vintage fabric.  Top right shows a selection of slightly more alternative ones, and bottom right Kawaii Milk ones!

Plus some little 1 inch badges! So cute, these are the few that I made, but there will be lots more too!

What a great process being able to make these beauties!  I'm also going to offer custom orders as they would make great bridesmaids gifts, or favours so weddings or little girls parties!

For the Love of....

Fantastical Ponies and Unicorns

Here's some pretty ponies...

As a child I had these ponies, and they remind me of good times, now my little girls are starting to like them too! although they don't make them anymore like this.  I have a few from 2000ish that I brought and put away, SO glad I'm a hoarder, as now I don't have to hunt them down.  I have also had a few thrift finds to add to the girls collection, but it doesn't compare to the collection above, which I have admired on Flickr for a while now.

I also love this my little pony drawing by a great girl who works in a tattoo studio, I first found her randomly on Flickr, and am a big fan of her work.  Its the best mix of kawaii, tattoo style illustration.

I'm also a big collector of toys, which some people might think is a bit random for someone who's approaching 30, but its fun! Id love some of these cute Tokodoki Unicorns.

Pretty Hair

I used to bleach and dye my hair pretty colours, here's some photos of old me!!! 

Aqua and Lilac, Cerise and then standard Black (looking a bit crazy lol)

but then one day I over did the bleach and frazzled my hair! So I have had to go back to a standard colour and give my hair a bit of a rest, which is sad as I miss my pretty hair.  Its been about 6 months now and I'm feeling a bit fidgeting on the colour front

When I saw Kaelahs'  pretty pink wig I was sold! 

and with all the Etsy seller fiasco I sadly popped over to eBay to get one shipped from China, what a bargain!  As much as I hate buying like that, and would much rather purchase from a independent seller and creator, but hey ho!

So here's the new me with wig! Quite amusing, but I love having pink hair again and strangely long hair, as I normally hate my hair if it goes over my shoulders, so I have a feeling I might be deciding to grow it out.

I will be wearing this weekend out for the first time at Vintage Vogue Fair in Brentwood!

Really looking forward to it and have loads of new goodies to show, will put up some sneak peeks tomorrow after I have finished them!!!
