I went out thrifting yesterday to some new places I haven't been before, what a great find! 

Found some great goodies, so thought I would share with you!

This amazing Vintage Disney Book will definitely be made into some Pocket Mirrors and Badges in the near future although I hate cutting up vintage books!

This Cute and Cool Owl Tapestry is going up in the girls bedroom

I found these three dresses, all different sizes, the pink stripy one is my fave, and will fit sooner than the others as I'm losing weight, we will see if I ever get into the brown one in the middle he he

These Pretty Linens all hand embroidered and super pretty!  Will be making these into some little zippy pouches probably.  Annoyingly these pretties are too thick to be made into pocket mirrors, but I have a plan and might try scanning them in and making prints to make into mirrors!

Cute Smiley Things

I have a real love for all things inanimate with a face, there just something that brings a smile to my face and makes the day seem a little better, when cute things have faces!  I'm really rather partial to food with faces, so thought I'd share some smiley cute love...

Of course, no post about smiley food and cute things can be complete without mentioning the amazing Heidi Kenney!  Her donuts have always been a fave, but the new plush versions from Kid Robot are my fave, I am yet to own any of these beauty's...

New Goodies

Here's a little selection of what I have been working on... Pocket Mirrors and Little Badges.

Using a variety of vintage and new fabric, vintage picture book images, and some alternative and kawaii.

I love the originality of the picture book ones, everyone is different and one of a kind, so when they go in the shop (after the weekend)  there's only one of each!

 These are some other designs, the two on the left, using vintage fabric.  Top right shows a selection of slightly more alternative ones, and bottom right Kawaii Milk ones!

Plus some little 1 inch badges! So cute, these are the few that I made, but there will be lots more too!

What a great process being able to make these beauties!  I'm also going to offer custom orders as they would make great bridesmaids gifts, or favours so weddings or little girls parties!

Fantastical Ponies and Unicorns

Here's some pretty ponies...

As a child I had these ponies, and they remind me of good times, now my little girls are starting to like them too! although they don't make them anymore like this.  I have a few from 2000ish that I brought and put away, SO glad I'm a hoarder, as now I don't have to hunt them down.  I have also had a few thrift finds to add to the girls collection, but it doesn't compare to the collection above, which I have admired on Flickr for a while now.

I also love this my little pony drawing by a great girl who works in a tattoo studio, I first found her randomly on Flickr, and am a big fan of her work.  Its the best mix of kawaii, tattoo style illustration.

I'm also a big collector of toys, which some people might think is a bit random for someone who's approaching 30, but its fun! Id love some of these cute Tokodoki Unicorns.

Pretty Hair

I used to bleach and dye my hair pretty colours, here's some photos of old me!!! 

Aqua and Lilac, Cerise and then standard Black (looking a bit crazy lol)

but then one day I over did the bleach and frazzled my hair! So I have had to go back to a standard colour and give my hair a bit of a rest, which is sad as I miss my pretty hair.  Its been about 6 months now and I'm feeling a bit fidgeting on the colour front

When I saw Kaelahs'  pretty pink wig I was sold! 

and with all the Etsy seller fiasco I sadly popped over to eBay to get one shipped from China, what a bargain!  As much as I hate buying like that, and would much rather purchase from a independent seller and creator, but hey ho!

So here's the new me with wig! Quite amusing, but I love having pink hair again and strangely long hair, as I normally hate my hair if it goes over my shoulders, so I have a feeling I might be deciding to grow it out.

I will be wearing this weekend out for the first time at Vintage Vogue Fair in Brentwood!

Really looking forward to it and have loads of new goodies to show, will put up some sneak peeks tomorrow after I have finished them!!!

Granny Squares

Ive always had a bit of an affinity with Granny Squares, my nan was always knitting us blankets when we were kids with pretty pastel, but my nans eyesight wasn't great and would never venture into darker colours such as this gorgeous teal version (my fave colour)

Although I'm also loving this super white and pastel springtime version!  Makes my wanna get mine out of the cupboard for an airing now its spring!

This tiny Granny Square bunting is something I have wanted to do for a while, and seems a bit more manageable than a gigantic blanket!

And of course Elise's newly acquired Granny Square cardi.  I have always been a bit dubious of such an in your face cardi, but I think I maybe a convert!  My nan is always trying to get me to take her pattern that she has for a cardigan just like this, I think I might have to give it ago!

Leigh on Sea Vintage Fair

Ooh What a great day we had on Saturday at the Leigh Vintage and Handmade Fair, it was sunny, busy and met a few people that will be seeing at other fairs soon!

 My Stall, all ready at the beginning of the day!

Yummy looking Tea Room run by All the Tea & China  beautifully decorated with bunting, Bunny's and floral fabric and hearts, and of course gorgeous yummy dainty china tea cups, pots and Cream Teas

I couldn't resist this gorgeous cupcake, it was yummy too!  Almost too good to eat though!

I also met the lovely girls at Must Destroy Jewellery they will be having a stall at the Seaside Sirens Brawl at Sea Roller Derby on 23rd April, cant wait because I totally missed out on a Blue Glow in the Dark Octopus Necklace, so will be definitely getting one then!

I'll also be having a special announcement on April 1st Yay!

Events Diary

Less than 2 weeks away is the Leigh on Sea Vintage and Handmade Fair!  This has to be one of my favs to have a stall at, as its always a great fair, lots of goodies that I have to avoid buying!

I have been busy sewing away with lots of new goodies! I had a major find of loads of vintage sheets, so there will be lots of new prints in my little zippy pouches!  plus new coin purse size!!!  Bows to adorn your hair and little plushies backed with vintage fabric!

Ill post some sneaky peeks this weekend!!!

Springs Here!

One of the times of the year, I love is Spring.  There's something about a new start, spring cleaning and getting organised that get under my skin every springtime.  For those who know me, I am NOT a tidy person, in fact ever since I was a teenager I have always been messy, I just cant help it! 

But when Spring come I get itchy to organise , tidy and have nice plants around the flat! (another one of my down falls is I cant keep houseplants alive)

Perusing through my flickr Faves I found these beauties that remind my how nice a tidy and organised house can be!

Reminds me too that we need to get the white paint out and give everything a going over!

Pretty Quirky Nails

I have bitten my nails ever since I was a child and completely randomly I have stopped!  I now have nails!  Which is crazy but cool as I can now experiment and be inspired by these cool ideas!!!
